About

OurSQL Foundation was launched on May 27, 2026, to provide a venue for the MySQL community — those using, building, and deploying applications on MySQL or compatible software — to share knowledge, collaborate, and have a collective voice on the future of the ecosystem.

The Foundation is a separate legal entity, independent of any single vendor, that will support the community through:

• Governance — a vendor-neutral model where participation is evaluated on merit
• Shared community assets — public bug database, tools portal, security transparency log
• Events — virtual and in-person collaboration around MySQL’s future
• Education — training materials, certification, and academic partnerships
